Guide to Training 

An attempt is being made to list  training and certification programs from some of the major robot manufacturers worldwide, based on reputable information widely available . This guide is about industrial robotics, cobots and automation production technologies. This list is not comprehensive . 

1. FANUC (Japan/USA)

FANUC is a leading manufacturer of industrial robotics and automation equipment with global influence and training available through FANUC America and other international partners. Some of their programs are 

  • FANUC Certified Robot Operator: Beginner course for operating a FANUC robot, focusing on safety measures and basic handling= FANUC HandlingTool Operation and Programming: Develops computer programs for FANUC robots equipped to pick up and move materials.
  • FANUC ROBOGUIDE Simulation Training: Teaching simulation and offline programming using FANUC’s package.
  • FANUC Certified Robot Technician – Advanced maintenance and troubleshooting certification.
  • FANUC iRVision.training: Teaching regarding vision-guided robotics solutions, including pick-and-place.
  • Delivery: In-person (FANUC training centers located at —USA, Japan, Europe, online courses, and on-site.
  • Target Audience: Operators technicians engineers integrators
  • Certification: For those completing the course, industry-recognized credentials are awarded, frequently through partnerships with schools and colleges.

2. ABB Robotics (Switzerland)

ABB offers extensive robotics training worldwide and specializes in industrial robots and collaborative solutions. Some of their programs are

  • Robot operator training: General operation and safety of ABB robots (e.g. IRB series)
  • Robot Programming (IRC5): ABB’s RobotStudio and IRC5 controller.
  • RobotStudio Offline Programming: Robot applications simulation and offline programming.- 
  • Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Higher level classes for keeping robots running and fixing them.

3. KUKA Robotics (Germany)

  • KUKA is active predominantly in Europe (and in some parts of Asia and South America) KUKA provides end–to–end training and education for its industrial and collaborative robots. Some of their programs are
  • KUKA Robot operation basic op and safety training on KUKA robots (e.g., KR Series)KUKA Programming (KRL): Programming with KUKA Robot Language
  • KUKA. WorkVisual: Training for software configuration and programming

  • LBR iiwa Collaborative Robot Training: Triggered for KUKA’s cobots.

4. Yaskawa Motoman (Japan/USA)

Yaskawa Motoman's wide variety of industrial robots and controllers. Some of their programs are

  • Basic Implementation of Robots: introduction to Motoman robots operation and safety
  • DX200 Programming Core programming for Yaskawa’s DX200 controller.Advanced programming: Harris said his most advanced role is programming robotic arms for welding and palletization.
  • MotoSim EG-VRC: Simulation & offline programming training— 
  • Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Technical training for keeping the robots running.–

5. Mitsubishi Electric (Japan)

  •  Mitsubishi Electric also provides training specifically for its industrial robots and automation systems. Some of their programs are
  • Robot Maintenance Technician Certification : Mitsubishi robot (e.g., RV series) startup, maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Robot Programming: Teaches how to program MELFA Basic and RT Tool Box3 software
  • Basic Operation Training: Introduction to basic robot handling and ensure robot safety.
  • Advanced Integration: For system integrators using Mitsubishi robots.
  • Delivery: Online (Hong Kong), in-person (Mitsubishi training centers based in Japan and USA), among others

6. Universal Robots (Denmark)

Universal Robots/UR Academy–Overview: UR is a collaborative robot company offering an adaptable robot training platform called the UR Academy.

  • Programs:- UR Academy Online Modules (Free):
  • Core: UR cobots operation and programming (UR3, UR5, UR10, etc.)
  • Advanced: Scripting, integration & application development.
  • Safety: Standards for robot safety in collaboration.

7. Kawasaki Robotics (Japan/USA)

  • General: Similar to Wu, Kawasaki trains with an emphasis on hands-on ability.
  • Programs:Robot Operations — the basic handling and safety
  • Low Level Programming: Kawasaki’s AS Language.— More Complex Programming More complex applications and integrations.
  • Electrical Repair & Maintenance: Technical maintenance of robots.
  • K-ROSET Simulation: For offline programming and simulation.
  • Cubic-S Safety System: Training for the safety system.
  • Delivery Mode: Physical (at Kawasaki Facilities (e.g., USA, Japan)), virtual training, on-site.
  • Intended Audience: Persons operating, programming, and maintaining equipment.
  • Certification: Kawasaki completion certificates.

8. Robotics Staubli (Switzerland)

 Staubli provides training for its precision industrial robots used throughout industries, including electronics and automotive.

  • Robot Operation (Basics, safety, Staubli robot, e.g., TX2 series).
  • VAL3 Programming: Programming Staubli robots with VAL3 programming language
  • Maintenance Training: Diagnostics and repair– 
  • CS9 Controller Training: Operations and advanced programming using Staubli’s CS9 controller.

9. Denso Robotics (Japan)

Denso develops training for its compact industrial robots, widely used in automotive and electronics.

  • Wincaps III Programming: Offline programming and simulating.- 
  • Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Skills for maintaining the robots.

10. 日本・アメリカ Omron Adept Technologies

  • Summary: Omron provides training for its robotics range, including mobile robots and co-bots.
  • Programs:
  • Robot Work: Basic Omron robot operations (eg Quattro, Viper)
  • ACE Software Training – Programming and automation with Omron’s ACE software
  • Mobile Robot Training: Specialized on Omron's autonomous mobile robots (AMRs).
  • Maintenance: Skills for technical servicing.- Delivery: In-person at Omron training centers, online options Available

 More Important Manufacturers

  • Epson Robotics (Japan) — Operation, programming (RC+ software) and maintenance for its SCARA and 6-axis robots. Certificates are issued after you finish.
  • Nachi Robotics (Japan): Operator, programming, and maintenance training (e.g. MZ series), certificates are offered- 
  • Hyundai Robotics (Korea) : Operation, programming, and maintenance for industrial robots, mostly Asia (certificates)
  • Techman Robot (Taiwan): Cobot-centric training on operating, programming (TMflow and vision systems), with TM Academy providing certification.

Notes

  • Third-Party Certifications: Certain manufacturers partner with the National Occupational Competency Testing Institute (NOCTI), the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME), or the RIA (Association for Advancing Automation) to create industry counterpart certifications. The list reflects the range of training offerings from the top manufacturers of robots.
